Zipping down the mountain has new meaning at Hawksnest Resort, which converted from skiing to snow tubing in late 2008.

The snow tubing park at Hawksnest is the largest on the East Coast. The park features more than 20 lanes across four different areas. Tubing lanes are 400 to 1,000 feet in length, while two conveyor lifts continuously take snow tubers back to the top for more fun. Hawksnest has 100% snow making and lighting on all lanes, providing the best possible conditions for the whole family.

New this year is zip line fun. The Hawksnest zip line features 10 cables, two of which are known in the zip line industry as "super" or "mega" zips. Zip liners, from ages five and up, enjoy the exhilaration of gliding over valleys with expansive views, while threading through the forest canopy. In winter, zippers can yell to their snow tubing friends from way above as they begin their journey.
