Drive Times to the High Country

From Asheville, NC:
Follow I-40 East to Exit 85. Turn Left at the light onto US-221 North and go approx. 3.7 miles. At the light, turn Left onto US-221/NC-226 and continue on for approx. 38 miles. At the light, take a Right onto Newland Hwy/US-221 and go to the next light and take a Left onto Hwy 105. Boone is 17 miles ahead.

From Charlotte, NC:
Follow I-85 South to Exit 17. Turn Left at the light onto Hwy 321 North and go approx. 78 miles to Boone, NC.

From Knoxville, TN:
Take I-40 East for approx. 32 miles and then take Exit 421 onto I-81 North toward Bristol, TN. Merge onto I-26 East/US-23 South via Exit 57A toward Johnson City, TN. Take and continue to follow US-321 through Elizabethton, TN for approx. 50 miles.

From Raleigh, NC:
Take I-40 West towards Greensboro. Merge onto US-421 North via Exit 36A toward I-40 West/Winston-Salem. Take Exit 188 onto US-421 North towards Wilkesboro/Boone.

From Atlanta, GA:
Take I-85 North for approx. 220 miles. Take Exit 17 and at the light take a Left onto US-321 North. Go approx. 78 miles to Boone, NC.

From Charleston, SC:
Take I-26 West toward Columbia, SC and go approx. 105 miles. Take Exit 116 onto I-77 North toward Charlotte, NC and go approx. 165 miles. Take Exit 73B onto US-421 toward Wilkesboro/Boone, NC.
