Ski
Beech Mountain Resort is a total Winter experience. With excellent skiing (day or night), and a charming Alpine Village filled with intriguing shops, tempting restaurants and more...you'll find that Ski Beech offers a winter wonderland of fun and activities for all members of your family or group!Located high in the mountains of Western North Carolina, in the Town of Beech Mountain, since 1967 Ski Beech redefines southern skiing as the highest ski resort in Eastern North America, at 5506 ft. above sea level. The only high-speed quad lift in North Carolina with a panoramic vista. These views make riding up the mountain as much fun as skiing down. We also offer double-sided runs with our backside Oz run and our nine runs on the front side of the mountain.
Snowboard
Long live snowboarding, and nobody does it better than Beech Mountain Resort. Grab your boards because Ski Beech has added a brand new terrain park for the 2008-2009 ski season. Expect tons of competitions and events this year as we christen the new park. We've kept the Meadows park and dedicated it to beginner snowboarders. For the more advanced rider, come down to the old tubing slope adjacent to the lower Shawneehaw lift (lift #1) and dive into our new advanced terrain park. Skiers welcome too.
Snow Tube
Great news Beech tubers. Our tubing run is back in a big way. We've created a brand new run at Ski Beech and have given it to snow tubing. It's in the field behind View Haus. This Summer we bulldozed the custom course specifically for tubing. Parents, you will love watching your tubers from the View Haus.

The snow tubing area offers two lanes.
Tubing tickets are limited and available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Tubers must be 48" or taller. Tubers under 18 must obtain parental consent.
Ski Boots are not allowed on tubing run

TUBING MAY BE HAZARDOUS There are risks associated with this activity including, but not limited to: speed; changing weather and surface conditions; collisions with other tubers, as well as with natural and man made objects; lack of direction and speed control.

Ski Beech features a 7000 square foot outdoor ice skating rink with the best atmosphere in the region.
One of the favorite activities at Ski Beech is our beautiful ice skating rink. The rink is located right in the middle of the Beech Tree Village and offers a perfect way to round out your winter vacation.
Experience the excitement of ice skating. Operating days and evenings, our outdoor, refrigerated ice skating rink offers another wonderful winter activity for you to enjoy. Skating is fun for all ages. We get a lot of requests from people asking us, "what can we do if some of the people in our family or group don't ski and don't want to try?" Our answer? Go ice skating! It's fun and the village atmosphere makes for a wonderful experience!
When planning a group function, sometimes you'll find that some members of your group have either very little experience at skiing...or maybe never have. Skating offers everyone in your group a fun-filled activity.
Mountain Boarding
Beech Mountain Resort has built a brand new Mountain Boarding Terrain Park for 2009 between Freestyle and Powderbowl.
